Artist StatementWhat does my artwork look like? To me it looks sort of weird, the eyes stand out a lot, there is no shading, and there are some spots where the color tones don’t match. The title of my work is "My Artist Steal". The most obvious elements in my work is the style, it’s clearly more of a cartoonish style. My piece was made with colored ink, I used brushes, and a bit of water, what I intended to do was make pretty much everything light then go darker where the shade was supposed to go but then it all turned out dark. What inspired my artwork was an anime, two actually, there’s no real life meaning behind the art it’s more of just portraying what the two characters were doing, well one of them, which was taking over the world. I was planning on my piece to be a little bit better, but halfway through it was going better than I had expected. The main thing I learned was I am not very good with mixing colors, and if I want a lighter color i’m gonna have to use more white, most likely i'm not going to use colored ink much.
